The ABC's of Computer Shopping when on a Budget

ABC's of Computer Shopping Last pay-day, I was so set on acquiring a new laptop or personal computer. Off I went to our nearest Apple store. Right on the get go, I was dumb stricken with all the new models that I literally went into panic-mode. It was torture going through and listening to the representative's babbling about the RAM's, gigabytes, storage and blah, blah, blah of each and every computer. Not that I didn't need the information, I was just terrified to spend my hard earned money ,which wasn't much ,into something that I did not have much knowledge about.

I went home that day with a stupefied feeling. I vowed to go through some online information about what the rep mentioned. After hours of intense researching, I scratched my head, nothing made sense at all.  I just made things far more complicated. Then, it hit me, I was trying to cram my brain with all sorts of information when in reality I just needed a computer that worked and was worth the investment with the little money I had raised. I wrote down my essential requirements for a computer and top of my list was COST!!!

if you are like me, needing to buy a new computer, baffled about all the options laid out, and in a tight budget. Here are some tips that I want to share with you to effortlessly buy what you need.

1.Window-shop offline or online

This not only provides you with tidbits of information to determine what would really suit your needs. It also provides an opportunity for you as a shopper with limited budget to look for the best deals available. What might cost a fortune in a particular store might be on sale at a different trusted branch

2.Be vigilant

You might find yourself  enticed with the gazillions of features and software laid out in front of you when shopping. Stop that impulse and remind yourself that some of the goodies might not be useful to you and are just causing the extra pennies that you can save for something else. Some salesman have the uncanny ability to make everything sound so good that you find yourself paying more than what you can afford. Some of the "upgrades" these computers have are actually available online for free.

3. Don't pay for the extras

Common misconception for regular users is if you don't know how to fix it, make sure you buy extended warranty, so if something happens, just ship it back to the seller and have it fixed. Always check the warranty dates of the product before spending on it. Chances are you won't need extra warranty. Most problems occur within the warranty period that is the reason why you have a warranty; Manufacturers have already thought about it.

Keep in mind that shopping for a new gadget should not be cumbersome. Stick to your budget and everything will be fine. Shopping is supposed to be fun.
